and I am currently a sophomore in high school. Just like most other kids in my school I am involved in many extra-curricular activities. I participate in everything from flags (it’s like color guard) to forensics (speech team) and peer leaders, and I play badminton. On Sundays I help teach kindergarten at my Temple. I also like to hang out with friends, listen to music, draw, read and watch TV.
Once I went to Washington D.C. The group I went with was there to lobby our representatives. I had never been that interested in politics before, but after I went there I saw that what we did as a group of teenagers could actually help change what people thought about certain topics. It was way more fun than I thought it actually could ever be and also it made me realize that people CAN make a difference. To be honest, at first I didn't really see what I, as a teenager, could do but I am beginning to realize that what I have to say actually does matter. I feel honored.
